Local Faces

Tour Leaders / Representatives serve as your first points of contact with ArawjoTours, LLC and your immediate link to us when on a tour. When serving as a Tour Representative, each individual functions in a limited way, because there will be a full-time tour manager/guide/escort assigned to the group who will meet the group on site and who will then assume overall leadership of the tour. Tour Representatives serve as the liaisons between the tour manager and our office and between nomads and our office, communicating information on the progress of the tour. They are also expected to know our lineup of tours and to be able to speak to clients about specific packages, registering client feedback on present and future destinations.

On shorter, simpler tours, where no full-time tour manager/guide/escort has been hired or is needed, these "local faces" serve as Tour Leaders and have more comprehensive responsibilities, which include all of the duties of a Tour Representative and some of those of a tour manager, such taking head counts on the bus, ensuring the arrival of local step-on guides and assistants, evaluating the quality of local services, maintaining a good working relationship with suppliers and handling any challenges that may arise.  Tour Leaders are not licensed guides and are not expected to make historical or cultural commentary on board the bus, as tour managers/guides/escorts or step-on guides would.  Rather, they are there to preserve the cohesion of the group and to foster a positive cross-cultural environment.
